Obituary - Mrs. Eleanor S. Curran

Mrs. Eleanor Suzanne Curran, aged 68 years, widow of the late Owen Curran, was called by death at 12 o'clock noon, yesterday (July 24, 1911) at her home, 219 West Second street, following an illness of a complication of diseases extending back for over a year, although she had been confined to her bed fore only the past two weeks.
Mrs. Curran was born near Lisbon, removing from that city with her parents when only a small child, to Marietta, where her girlhood days were spent. She was united in marriage with Owen Curran, who died about four years ago, at Marietta, in 1860. For several years the couple resided in Salineville, coming to this city twenty-three years ago. During her long residence here, she had become encircled by a large number of friends who will feel her departure from their midst most deeply. She was a prominent member of the St Aloysius church.
Deceased is survived by six daughters and three sons: Mrs. George Wynn of Chester avenue; Mrs. Edward Figley of Calcutta; Mrs. O. Bucheit of Riverview avenue; Mrs. Edward anon of Center alley; Mrs. Harry Hanselman of Sugar street, and Miss Bridget Curran, at home, and John L. Curran of Dresden avenue, Robert Curran of St. John street and Joseph Curran at home. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. John Borden and Mrs. John Madison, both of Salineville, O., and Leslie Crumbley of Millport, and Hiram Crumbley of Salem.
Funeral services over the remains will be held from the St. Aloysius church at 9 o'clock Thursday morning, Rev. Father T. M Smythe, officiating. Interment will be made in the St. Aloysius cemetery. Friends may view the remains at any time today and tomorrow.
