SALINEVILLE MARSHAL TAKEN BY DEATH AT 72

Salineville, Nov. 28 - Dennis Hanley, 72, village marshall at Salineville for nine years, died in his home today at 1:40 a.m. following a stroke of paralysis.

Mr. Hanley was born in Salineville and followed the trade of a coal miner until 1929 when he was elected village marshall. He was serving his fifth consecutive term.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Lucora (Potts) Hanley; four sons Harry and William of Cuyahoga Falls, Delmar of Cannonsburg, PA, and Charles of Weirton, WV; three daughters, Mrs Kate Cummings of Mechanicstown, Helen Hanley of Cleveland, and Mrs. Della Bolton of Salineville; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Jewell and Mrs. Samuel Wycoff of Salineville and Mrs Jane Slinger of Cleveland; a twin brother Michael of Salineville; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held in the United Presbyterian Church here Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. H Snodgrass of Northfield, a former pastor. Burial will be made in Woodland Cemetery.
