DEMOINE SMITH
LISBON - Demoine Todd Smith, 93, of the Cream Ridge Rd., Lisbon R. D. 3, died at 1:45 p.m. Thursday in Salem City Hospital, where he had been a patient nine days.
He was born March 7, 1873, in St. Clair Township, a son of William and Isodene Thomas Smith, and had resided in Columbiana County his lifetime.
Mr. Smith was a retired coal miner and farmer and lived at the Cream Ridge Rd. address the last 37 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
His wife, Annie Belle Knowles Smith, died March 27, 1956.
He leaves 121 descendants - four daughters, Mrs. Lelia Dailey, Mrs. Daisy Rutecki and Mrs. Gladys Griggs, all of Lisbon R. D., and Mrs. Isodene Paisley of Palm Springs, Calif.; three sons, Kelly Smith of Chester, W. Va.; Donald Smith of Upper Sandusky, and Lucian Smith of Lisbon R. D.; 32 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Kelley of East Liverpool and Mrs. Sophronia Thompson of Wellsville R. D., and a brother, E. R. Smith of Negley.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Henry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Frederick Shiltz of the Lisbon Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Longs Run Cemetery, Calcutta.
