C. L. Bailey of Salineville Succumbs at 81
A funeral service for Charles L. Bailey, 81, of Salineville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald Lewis, Monroe Heights.
A retired brick works engineer, Mr. Bailey died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday (August 30, 1961) in the Lewis home.
He was born December 8, 1879 in Wellsville, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Wolf) Bailey and was a member of the Christian Church at Pughtown and the Junior Order, United American Mechanics.
He leaves three other daughters, Mrs. Thomas McGhan of Brilliant, Mrs. Persey Wycoff of New Cumberland, WV and Mrs. Gene Myler of East Liverpool; two sons, Louis Bailey of Wellsville and Charles Bailey of Brilliant; a sister, Mrs. Ada Holsinger of Canton and four brothers, Raymond and Ben, both of New Cumberland and John and James both of Coshocton, OH.
The Rev. E.E. Bacon of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery at Salineville. Friends may call this evening at the Lewis home.
