AGED LADY, ILL LONG, SUCCUMBS

Mrs. Caroline Simpson, aged 76, died yesterday morning (February 28, 1912) at the home of her nephew, Ernest Simpson, of 1071 Ohio avenue, after a 12-weeks' illness of complication diseases.

Mrs. Simpson was born in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, October 12, 1836. In 1865 she moved to this country, settling at Cincinnati, later at Beaver Falls and then moved to East Liverpool in 1871.

Mr. Simpson was general manager of the Laughlin pottery until his death, 18 years ago.

Mrs. Simpson was a faithful member of the St. Stephen's church of this city and was one of the most highly respected women of this community. Surviving her are the following relatives: Mrs. Margaret Page, as sister of Burslem, England; a brother, Joseph Simpson of Boston, Mass.; a sister, Mary A. Simpson of this city, and the following nephews: Ernest Simpson and Edwin Bailey of this city, and Mrs. Helen Bailey of Sixth street, a niece.

The remains will be taken to the home of Mary E. Crawford of 339 West Fourth street, where friends may view them tomorrow evening from 7 to 10 o'clock.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from St Stephen's Episcopal church. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.
