Obituary - Mrs. Bridget McGarry
East Liverpool Tribune

AT her home on Seventh street Mrs. Bridget McGarry, aged 77, widow of the late Patrick McGarry, died of pneumonia at 5 o'clock Saturday morning (October 21,1911).

She had a large circle of friends, both young and old, and her death, coming so suddenly, was a great shock to all.

She was born in Queen county, Ireland, March 7, 1834. Her maiden name was Ready. She married Patrick McGarry in Ireland, and they came to the United States in 1861. They settled at Shippingport, Pa., where they lived for 12 years, when her husband died. In 1876 Mrs. McGarry and her children removed to East Liverpool where they have made their home since.

She was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic church and there cannot be found many who were more faithful or active in religious circles. Surviving her are four children, namely, Mrs. Mary Feist of Tarentum, Pa.; Attorneys M. J. and J. F. McGarry and Mrs. Martin Gill, all of this city.

Funeral services over the remains to be held from St. Aloysius Catholic church at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning, Rev. Father Thomas M. Smythe officiating. Interment will be at St. Aloysius cemetery.
