EAST LIVERPOOL - Bertha Baker, 100, of Duke Road died at 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, 1992, at East Liverpool City Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born April 12, 1892, in Meigs County, Ohio. She was a daughter of William and Freda Dorst Bentz.
Mrs. Baker had resided in East Liverpool since 1907. She was employed as a finisher in area potteries for many years, retiring in 1946.
She was a member of the Calcutta United Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Charles W. Baker, died July 16, 1933.
She is survived by one daughter, Leora Schmitt, with whom she resided; two sons, Ross Baker and Kendall Baker, both of East Liverpool, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home. The Rev. David Snyder of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
