Obituary - Balthasar Meister
East Liverpool Tribune
Balthasar Meister died about 10 o'clock last night (October 21, 1905) at the Taylor hospital after a lingering illness of rheumatism and dropsy. He was about 52 years old and is survived by a wife and four children, Kate, Edith, Rosa and Martha. Mr. Meister was a cobbler by trade and had his shop at 142 Second street where he lived with his family. He had been a resident of the city about 17 years.
It was his request before he died that his body be cremated and his wishes in this respect will be gratified by the family. The remains will be sent to Pittsburg on the noon train where they will be turned over to one of the undertakers who has the facilities for disposing of the body in the manner indicated.
