Smiths Ferry Man Claimed
Rites To Be Monday for Arnott Hays 56
Arnott Thompson Hays, 56, died today at 6:10 a.m. in his home in Smiths Ferry, following a four-month illness.
Mr. Hays, an office employee of the Crucible Steel Co., Midland, was born in East Liverpool and spent most of his lifetime in Smiths Ferry and Wellsville. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Wellsville.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Helen Thompson Hays; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline McConnaughy of Beaver, Mrs. Helen Edmiston of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Jane Wiley of East Liverpool; a brother, Robert H. Hays of East Liverpool, and three grandchildren. His mother, Mrs. Cora L. Hays of Smiths Ferry, died Jan. 1.
Rites will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Home by Rev. M. Rudolph Miller, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon and night at the funeral home.
