Lisbon, Aug. 6.-Mrs. Anna S. Murphy, widow of the late J. R. Murphy, died at her home on West Washington street, at 3 o'clock Following a severe illness of over a month with intestinal trouble. Deceased had been a resident of Lisbon for the past 25 years and was one of the best known women of the city. She was born in 1844 in Philadelphia, a daughter of John and Martha Dobson. In early life she was united in marriage with J. R. Murphy, who for many years prior to his death was foreman in the office of the Ohio Patriot. Mrs. Murphy was one of the leading members in the Trinity Episcopal church of that city. Deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. Margaret Stitt, of Salem, and two nieces, Mrs. Mary Allabaugh, of Salem, and Mrs. William Reiker, of Leavittsburg, all of whom were at her bed side when her death occurred. One son of the was killed on the railroad at the age of 21 years, while employed as brakeman. The funeral will occur from the home Monday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Lisbon City cemetery.
