Obituary - Mrs. Anna Dillon
East Liverpool Tribune

Mrs. Anna Dillon, aged 31 years, wife of William Dillon, died at the city hospital at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning, (April 24, 1911) as the result of serious burns sustained when her clothes ignited while passing an open grate fire in her home in Klondike, East End, five weeks ago.

At the time of her mishap, which ended so fatally, Mrs. Dillon was engaged in her household duties, her dress catching fire as she passed an open grate. Encircled with flame she rushed screaming from her home into the yard, where a neighbor seized her and extinguished her burning clothing, but not before the lower part of her body from the waist down had been fearfully burned. She was taken immediately to the City hospital, where she was given careful attention, but death came early yesterday morning.

Deceased was one of East End's most well-known ladies and her death comes as a sad shock to not only the immediate family but also her wide circle of friends.

Besides the husband, deceased is survived by two small children. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed.
