Alonzo Detchon

SALINEVILLE---Alonzo T. Detchon, 68, of 59 W. Main St., a retired construction worker, died this morning at 12:10 at the Salem Community Hospital East, where he had been a patient three days. He had been ailing for some time.

He was born in Carroll County Feb. 12, 1901, a son of the late William and Nancy Bourne Detchon. He resided in the Salineville area virtually his lifetime. He was a member of the Riley's United Methodist Church, near Salineville, And was a social member of the Salineville American Legion Post.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nettie Detchon at home; a brother, Frank Detchon of Salineville, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Madison of Salineville and Miss Nancy Detchon of Massillon.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Kerr Funeral Home By the Rev. James Dryer of the church. Burial will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and Friday afternoon and night.
