Obituary - Alexander S. McIntosh

Alexander S. McIntosh, aged 78 years, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander McBane, Prospect street at 5 o'clock this morning (October 24, 1904). Death was due to paralysis. He was stricken six days ago and had been unconscious since Thursday. Mr. McIntosh was born in Madison township, this county, and his father was one of the first settlers in this section. Mr. McIntosh was a veteran of the Civil War and was highly respected. He was the father of five children, only on of whom survives, Mrs. McBane. For the past 13 years he had made his home in this city. The following grandchildren survive: Lester and Miss Nettie McBane and Mrs. Lillian Niblock, all of this city. He was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years. The funeral services will be held at the late home at 12 o'clock Wednesday. Rev. J. N. Swan will conduct the services. The body will be taken to the Yellow Creek cemetery for burial.
