Adda B. Boyd Dies Sunday;
Services Wed.
Mrs. Adda Boyce Boyd, 84, widow of Lawrence Boyd, died Sunday (February 12, 1956) at 8:45 a. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Close of Yellow Creek Township near the Oak Ridge Church. Mrs. Boyd had been ill for several months.
She was a daughter of George W. and Elizabeth McBane Boyce of Yellow Creek Township, and lived all of her life in that township.
She was a lifelong member of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church and was active in the Missionary Society and other work in the church.
Her husband preceded her in death, May 20, 1935.
She leaves one daughter; a son G. Walter Boyd of Yellow Creek Twp.; a sister, Mrs. Clifford Hammond of Lisbon R.D. 2; four grandchildren.
Services will be held from the MacLean Funeral Home in Wellsville, at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday with the Rev. E. E. Bacon, pastor of the Oak Ridge Church, officiating. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call this evening and Tuesday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
