MRS. ADA ALLISON
Mrs. Ada R. Allison, 83, widow of Henry Allison and a former teacher
in the Greene Township schools near Hookstown, died Tuesday at 3:45
p.m., in the home of her daughter, Mrs. William H. Wright in
Lawrenceville, Chester.
Mrs. Allison was a native of Hanover, Pa. and resided in the vicinity
of Hookstown for many years. She was a daughter of Cyrus and Martha
McClurg and a member of the Hookstown Presbyterian Church.
She leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Belle Morrow of Shippingport,
and Mrs. Helen McCombs of Weirton; six sons, Charles Allison, Homer
Allison and John Allison of Shippingport; Harry Allison and Frank
Allison of Georgetown, and Archie Allison of Hookstown. Her husband
died in 1950.
Rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the home of Archie Allison in
Hookstown by the Rev. J. P. Atkinson, pastor of the Free Methodist
Church at Aliquippa. Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery near
Hookstown.
Friends may call Thursday night at the Allison home.
